Six Avon Middle School students have been named December's Students of the Month.

Seventh-graders honored were Michael Lehoty, Madeline Moreno and Patrick Orsagos. Eighth-graders honored were Jay Emery, Kristen Schuler and Alyssa Tabar.

Students of the Month are honored for a positive attitude toward learning, academic diligence in class, involvement in school activities, service to others and exemplary citizenship. Students, three from each grade level, are selected by staff.

Students of the Month get their names and photos displayed at the school.
