George J. Gates, 85, of Avon, a retired Lorain County builder, died Oct. 12.
Calling hours are 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Road.
Closing prayers will be offered at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, followed by 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road.
