Neville A. Chandler, 92, of Avon Lake, formerly of Westlake, a home builder, World War II Army veteran and father of the late sportscaster who shared his name, died March 29.
His son and namesake, Nev Chandler, who was sports director for WEWS TV and the radio voice of the Cleveland Browns, died of complications from colon cancer in 1994 at age 47.
The elder Chandler’s wife, Dorothy A., died Dec. 17.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. April 4, at McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home, 25620 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, with arrangements by Saxton Funeral Home of Lakewood (216-221-2400).
