Avon and Avon Lake businesses and organizations stepped up to the plate in March and helped not only Avon/Avon Lake Community Resource Services, but themselves as well.

During March, Avon Patch and Avon Lake Patch were raising money for CRS by having businesses and organizations in their towns claim their Patch Places pages. Each page claimed meant Patch would donate free advertising to CRS.

Thanks to those who claimed their pages, CRS has $200 in free advertising on Avon Lake Patch and Avon Patch.

Avon pages claimed in March included Christian Heritage Assembly of God, Avon Middle School, Good Samaritan and Helen & Kal's.

Some of the Avon Lake pages claimed were Troy Elementary School, The Sweet Shoppe and Jeff Ellis' International Karate Center.

Claiming the Patch Places page means business owners and organizations gain control over their listing. They can add photos, update information such as business hours or services, and interact directly with people who post reviews. Claiming the page can also help increase visibility in online searches.

If you didn't claim your Patch Places page in March, don't worry. You can still do it. Claiming your listing is easy-peasy. And free! Watch the video and you'll be claiming in no time.

Interested in advertising? You'd be surprised how much $200 will get CRS. Contact regional publisher Vincent Ing at Vincent.Ing@Patch.com for more information.
