Air Quality Advisory Wednesday for Lorain County
Take measures to reduce ozone air pollution.
An air quality advisory has been issued to Lorain County, along with Cleveland and Akron for Wednesday by the Ohio EPA.
Residents, businesses and local governments should voluntarily reduce activities that contribute to ozone air pollution.
The EPA recommends being proactive by reducing or eliminating unnecessary motor vehicle trips, and consider carpooling or use public transportation.
"Consider setting your home or office air conditioning thermostat slightly higher," an air alert said.
Consider refueling vehicles and mowing grass after 7 p.m.
Asthmatics, those with preexisting respiratory conditions, the elderly, and young children should consider reducing outdoor activities.
