Amanda L. Ortiz, 27, a life long resident of Avon Lake, passed away on Aug. 14, 2012 at St. John Medical Center. She was born on April 8, 1985.

Amanda graduated in 2003 from Avon Lake High School and worked as customer service representative for Value Rooter and Excel Color. She was a member of Hope Christian Church in Avon.

Amanda loved spending time with her children; they were everything to her. She enjoyed camping, hiking and visiting with her family and friends.

Amanda is survived by her 2 children, Madison Leigh (7) and McKenzy Melissa (4); her father James M. Moyse and mother Melissa Carte (nee Grimes) both of Avon Lake; sisters Nicole Moyse of Columbus and Abby Moyse of Avon Lake; paternal grandparents Jim and Linda Moyse of Avon Lake and maternal grandparents Rick and Laura Grimes of Lorain; her boyfriend Jayson Karkoff and his parents Pam and Larry Karkoff.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17.
