You get the idea. Starting next Thursday, May 31, the Avon and Avon Lake Patches will join hands and become one: The Avon-Avon Lake Patch.

We know that sister cities Avon and Avon Lake have a lot in common, including several trusted community organizations like Community Resource Services. So it only makes sense to come together to give you one powerful Patch that will let residents and businesses in one city reach the residents and businesses in the other.

After the merger, readers can go to one site and choose whether they want Avon news, Avon Lake news or both: topic pages for each city will make it easier to meet your wants and expectations.

Those readers who prefer to get news, information and opinion for both cities can find events, garage sales and summer activities in one place.
