Reminder: CEI Plans Power Outage Tuesday for Parts of Avon Lake
Four hour outage will affect a portion of city, please plan accordingly.
The Illuminating Company is planning a power outage on Tuesday, Jan. 8 to allow the company to remove or trim trees in Avon Lake.
The outage will affect customers in the vicinity of Cherry Lane, Electric Boulevard and Yoder Boulevard in Avon Lake fro 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
"In the event of inclement weather the planned outage will be rescheduled for the same time on Wednesday, Jan. 9," a statement from CEI said.

The Illuminating Company said the outage and trimming is necessary to improve electric service reliability.

How funny that we didn't learn about this from the electric company. I didn't even know that this website existed. Luckily my dog walker, who lives on the west side of town, forwarded the email to me.
