Choose Your Favorite Fish Fry!

Where do you like to go for the Lenten staple?

If it's March, there must be fish fries.

Local churches have them, restaurants add fried fish dishes to their menu. While fish fries are mostly associated with Catholicism, enjoying fish fries is something many believers and non-believers can agree on.

We're looking for the best fish fries in Avon and Avon Lake, and have been taking nominations for the past few days. Now, it's time to vote!

Here are the nominees: Holy Trinity Church, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Joseph Church, American Legion Post 211, Lenny's Deli, Jake's on the Lake, Helen & Kal's Kitchen, Rush Inn and Two Bucks.

You can also vote for your favorite place by going to their page on Avon Patch or Avon Lake Patch and submitting a review.

Don't bother with Lenny's.....sat there for 40 minutes and watched two tables of four get served before the wife and I could get a fish sandwich and a tuna melt. Got up and walked out after the table that came in 25 minutes after us got served before we did. Pretty bad considering there were only six tables of people in the whole place at the time.

Wow Jim. Sorry about your bad luck. We have eaten there since way before the current owners took over - and never had anything but quick friendly service. If you try again, surely you will discover that for yourself.
