Echo, a 20-lb. terrier missing since the evening of Dec. 20 has returned home.
“Our prayers were answered,” Jeffrey Shepard said. “Thanks to everyone that helped with calling in the sightings of Echo and special thanks to the volunteers that help on-site with the searches.
The dog was lost on SR 83 near the railroad tracks and had been sighted by an the Avon Lake police dispatcher on the way to work nearby.
The Shepards said the help received from Love-A-Stray's help was invaluable.
“We got another call this afternoon that Echo was located near Goodwill and this time when Susan (Shepard) got there, Echo came running up into Susan's open arms,” Shepard said on Patch. “(The) vet gave her a clean bill of health beyond a few scrapes and she is resting comfortably at home now.”
The dog was previously a resident at a breeder’s location in West Virginia.
