Tea Party Express Making Lone Ohio Stop Sept. 3

Reclaiming America bus tour is expected to draw 5,000.

For its annual “Reclaiming America” bus tour, the Tea Party Express winds its way across the country, visiting towns big and small in early primary states to spread its conservative message among voters.

The next stop: Avon’s All Pro Freight Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Since Avon is the only Ohio stop for the Tea Party Express, the event is expected to attract 5,000 people, and will feature former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Victoria Jackson and singer Lloyd Marcus

Lt. Governor Mary Taylor will attend along with Treasurer Josh Mandel – who is considering a run for the U.S. Senate seat in 2012 – Avon Lake Councilwoman Jennifer Fenderbosch said.

Fenderbosch, who will represent the Lorain County Republicans organization at the event, noted that one or two presidential candidates may make a surprise visit and speak to the crowd.

“To have a national event with national exposure in Lorain County at the Avon All Pro Stadium is exciting,” she said.  “…This is a great opportunity for families to meet these candidates.”

Along with the speakers and entertainment, several organizations from various political parties will have tables and booths set up to greet attendees and pass out election information.

“We’re coming to the stadium in all shapes and sizes and colors and ages to celebrate American patriotism,” Lorain County 912 Tea Party member Dianne Mueller said. “There’s a comfort in being with other people who love the country as much as I do, and realize that there are things that need to be done to get the nation back on track financially and otherwise.”

Gates will open at 3 p.m. A preshow starts at 4 p.m., with the buses expected to arrive at 5 p.m.

The tour will culminate in Tampa, Fla., on Sept. 13 with the Tea Party Republican presidential debate presented by CNN.

Oh great! The crazies are coming to town to spew propaganda in order to con voters into helping them ruin our country.

Liberals, progressives, turn out to this event to counteract the nimrods and show them we won't let them take control! Reason must prevail.
