Five Things: Social Media, Shredding and Sportswriter

Here's what's going on the next few days!

  1. If you've been wanting to learn more about using social media like Facebook and Twitter, check out the class on it at 1 p.m. Thursday at Avon Branch Library.
  2. Is paper clutter a problem in your home? Clear it out at Saturday's community shred at City Hall. You can bring up to four bags of boxes of paper, and Shredding Network will unload them and shred them while you watch.
  3. State representative Matt Lundy (D-Elyria) will hold one of his "Lundy Listens" town hall meetings at 2 p.m. Saturday at the North Ridgeville Library, 35700 Bainbridge Road, North Ridgeville.
  4. Cheering on the Avon High football team at Friday's home game against North Ridgeville? Continue to show your support Saturday by participating in a Coleone's Pizza fundraiser. Order from Coleone's between noon and 8 p.m., and 25 percent of your sale goes to the team.
  5. Meet Plain Dealer sportswriter Terry Pluto as he discusses his new bookThings I’ve Learned From Watching the Browns, at 2 p.m. Saturday at Avon Branch Library.
