Five Things This Weekend: Doomsday, Pride Days and Rummage Sale

Lots going on in Avon this weekend.

There's no reason to stay at home this weekend, unless you want to. There's a lot going on in Avon.

1. Avon Pride Days are this weekend, with a huge city-wide clean-up and beautifying. All ages, from scout groups to seniors, will be out making Avon a little prettier. And there's the community party on Sunday.

2. Feel like doing some shopping but don't want to drop a lot of cash? Check out the Avon United Methodist Church Rummage Sale on Friday and Saturday.

3. Get some puppy love this weekend at Coffee and Canines at Caribou Coffee in Avon Commons on Saturday. Fido's Companion is bringing dogs who are available for adoption.

4. Feeling like some music? Check out Black River Belles at Strip Steakhouse on Sunday evening. The bluegrass group will be performing from 5 to 8 p.m.

5. Don't forget, the world ends Saturday! Be there, or get left behind.
