Avon Lake Gold Wins War on the Shore Tournament
The fifth grade boys' basketball team won its second straight War on the Shore championship this past weekend in Avon Lake.
Many have imagined it while playing pick-up basketball—making the last shot in a big game as the clock ticks down to zero.
Avon Lake’s Nathan Sidloski did it for real against Avon, propelling his Avon Lake Gold fifth grade travel basketball team to an overtime win.
The shot helped the team capture its second straight championship at the War on the Shore basketball tournament this past weekend.
