- If you love all things home and garden, this is your weekend! The Great Big Home & Garden Expo opens Saturday at the I-X Center and runs through Feb. 12. Check out the Idea Home by Creative Construction Solutions and featured gardens by Avon landscapers.
- As you may have heard, Sunday is the Super Bowl. Starting at noon Friday, we've got a poll for your favorite wings. Come back and vote for Avon's best wings!
- The Super Bowl isn't the only game in town. Check out Avon High's boys basketball team as they take on Rocky River at 7:30 p.m. at Avon High School.
- We may all scream for ice cream, but let's hold off on the screaming at Avon Schools Band a la Mode at noon Saturday at Avon High School. Enjoy ice cream while listening to performances from Avon schools' talented bands including the High School Symphonic band, Middle School and High School Jazz bands, and Winter Drum Line.
- Feeling lucky? St. Mary Winterfest/Casino Night at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Tom's Country Place features casino tables, silent auctions and a Chinese raffle. Tickets are $50 a person and $85 for a couple.
