Avon's own Creative Constructive Solutions will be spotlighted as it will showcase the latest in children's bedrooms and bathrooms. You can also see DIY Network star Josh Temple of House Crashers at noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday.
- Ever feel nervous walking out of a store into a parking lot? Learn about protecting yourself at a free introduction to self-defense class at Avon Branch Library. Jen Kappler, a nationally certified Rape Aggression Defense Instructor, will teach the class.
- Help out Avon/Avon Lake Relay for Life on Saturday as they hold their 2012 kick-off at Caribou Coffee. Twenty percent of the cost of your purchase will be donated to the group. Go to the Relay for Life's website to sign up for this year's event.
- It's the final weekend of Poinsettia Pandemonium at Miller Nature Preserve.
