Michael Foreman was from North Olmsted
DEVELOPING STORY
Avon Lake Police have released the name of the man found dead at Miller Road Park on Aug. 13 as Michael Foreman, 34, of North Olmsted.
Although an official cause of death has not been released, Lorain County Coroner Dr. Stephen Evans said drowning was likely.
“It appears to be an accidental drowning,” Lorain County Coroner Dr. Stephen Evans said. “Nothing else is showing up at this time.”
Foreman's body was spotted in the water just east of the fishing pier in the designated swimming area of Miller Road Park, at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 13 by a passer by. Foreman was deceased when rescue workers arrived.
His Porche was later towed from the Miller Road Park parking lot.
His death remains under investigation.

I heard there is a under tied from the power company next to the beach that sucks people under when they go out to far. I think they should close it off or put a huge warning sign about the under tied there!

There are signs and bouys in the water and red markers to warn people of this danger. It's sad but some people just ignore the warnings! It's the same as driving over the speed limit and people die from that also. Life is not without risk. My heart goes out to this family but more signs will not change people's behavior.

Personally the beach is disgusting, especially to go swimming. Close the entire thing. Most of the people i see down there are scary anyway.

I knew Mike, its sad to here what happened to him. He had a good soal, a good heart and was a great guy. He will be missed, I will miss him greatly. They should close that freaking beach ASAP. How many people need to die at the same location for the city to get the hint?
