While we didn't get the upwards of 2 feet of snow some places in the Northeast got, Avon residents still have some snow to clear from driveways and walkways.
Just be careful where you, or your snow removal company, puts the snow.
It's against the law in Avon to put cleared snow out into the street.
Avon Codified Ordinance 4511.74 states: "No person shall cause to be deposited or moved upon the main traveled portion of a street, highway or alley any snow or ice. Removal of snow or ice from public or private property by a person shall be done in such a manner as not to interfere with the lawful use of the street, highway or alley by vehicular traffic."
Anyone caught putting cleared snow into the street could be charged with a first-degree misdemeanor.
