Letter: Supports Chris Cook for Judge

Cook has ties to Avon and Avon Lake

As a devoted Democrat serving on Avon Lake City Council, I strongly endorse Chris Cook for Lorain County Common Pleas Judge. Chris Cook is one of us. He has lived in both Avon and Avon Lake for many years. He continues to protect and serve as a prosecutor in our local court.

If you compare Chris’ experience and background to his opponents you will easily see that Chris is the superior candidate. Chris is the only candidate with criminal law experience. He has protected our friends and families first as an Assistant Lorain County Prosecutor and more recently as the Sheffield Village Prosecutor. He is the only candidate that has judicial experience as he currently serves as Magistrate in Lorain and as an acting judge in Avon Lake Municipal Court. A common pleas judge will have to deal with the worst types of offenses that our society can produce. Chris Cook has kept our streets and neighborhoods safe from crime. His opponent has no experience at all in dealing with these extremely important safety issues.

Common pleas judge is a very important position. It is critical that our next judge be the best qualified and most experienced person. Do your own research. Compare the records of Chris Cook and his opponent. I am confident that you will then join me in supporting Chris Cook as our next common pleas judge.
