Drunken Driving, Underage Drinking and Amphetamines: Police Blotter

The following arrest information was provided by the Avon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Avon police stopped and arrested a driver for a DUI at the intersection of Detroit Road and Jaycox Road at 3:10 a.m. on April 15.

Tyrone R. Cook, 40, is listed on the citation which also includes charges for excessive blood alcohol concentration and a U-Turn violation.

Drug paraphernalia, underage drinking

Two men were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking after being pulled over on the interstate for speeding on April 12 at 5:16 p.m. Michael Cline and Adam Smith, both 20, were pulled over on I-90.

Amphetamines found

A maintenance worker at Timberlake Townhouses found a baggie with a white-powder substance that tested positive for amphetamines on the morning of April 11.

The worker found the baggie on the ground under a stop sign at the corner of Birch and Aspen. The baggie was turned over to police for testing and placed into evidence to be destroyed. Police say there are no suspects at this time.
