Meteors Shower Shoremen

Friday, January 6 Avon Lake vs. Midpark, Boys Basketball

 

It was another last second loss for the Avon Lake boy’s varsity basketball team as they traveled to Midpark to take on the Meteors Friday night.

The Shoremen showed a valiant effort by erasing a 10-point first half deficit only trailing by one at half Jan. 6. With the Shoremen holding a 5 point lead at the start of the fourth quarter, Midpark’s 6’6” senior, Simon Kucharewicz, sparked the team with a thunderous dunk changing the momentum of the game in Midpark's favor.

Avon Lake’s efforts came up just short in the last seconds of the game losing 48-46. The loss drops the Shoremen’s record to 4-4 (2-2 conference).

The boys JV team won 30-25 making their overall record 6-2 (3-1 conference) and the boys freshman team racked up another victory remaining undefeated with a 6-0 record.
