Millions of Good Repubicans, But Not These Three
U.S. Senate candidates are not this readers' choices.
Three men running for the U.S. Senate from three different states all on the Republican ticket.
There are millions of good Republicans out their and I hope that none of them would vote for these three men.
1) Richard Mourdock from Indiana said the following:
"Pregnancies from rape is God's will"
2) Todd Akin from Missouri said the following:
"Legitimate rape rarely resulted in pregnancy"
3) Joe Walsh from Illinois said the following:
Questioned the necessity of allowing abortions if a mother's life is at risk, "sayings such an exemption to an abortion ban was simply a tool by pro-choice activists." "Health of the mother has been, has become a tool for abortions any time under any reasons."
Lets hope and pray that these three men are defeated for the good of the country and the good of the Republican party.

The GOP is now entirely the Party of intolerance and hate. If you have an R in front of your name or if you cast a vote for any Republican you are aligning yourself with the "our way or the highway" Party. When our Country's infrastruture is crumbling and our education system need revamping this Party has put the brakes on anything the President has tried to accomplish and all for their own political gain..shameful.... signing pledges to some strange lobbyist borders on treason. What they are doing to this great land of ours with their racist, women hating, wealthy adoring agenda is pitiful. They need to remember..what goes around comes around one way or another and this insanity cannot continue much longer without challenge. Obviously I am a lifelong Democrat but it would be nice to at least hear a moderate voice come from the Right..if I was a Republican I would be furious with what these wingnuts (including Romney and Ryan) have allowed Fox News and a handful of rich, old cronies do to my Party..Lincoln must be rolling in his grave and what happened to the Teddy Roosevelts and Eisnehowers of the World, is the time for tolerance gone? The only ones that can change it are the GOP voters. I know you will never vote for my President but at least pull the lever for a third Party option and send a message to these GOP idle makers that you want your Party back..who knows they may get the message.

Largely agree sloppy language but details matter so let's think about the intent:
1) Richard Mourdock from Indiana said the following:
"Pregnancies from rape is God's will"
He's not saying the rape is God's will, but the conception or pregnancy is. I'm not that formally/traditionally religious but respect those that believe life begins at conception. I lean towards St. Aquinis (spelling?) who theorized it takes time for the soul to be infused, but it's a religious belief. In the end, there's a pregnancy involving a potential innocent child. That said, I 100% disagree with the other part of this statement that is not mention. A woman should be allowed to terminate in the case of rape.
2) Todd Akin from Missouri said the following:
"Legitimate rape rarely resulted in pregnancy"
Agreed. Very sloppy and confusing and nutty. My guess, he lumped together the notion that stress can reduce the likelihood of conception (how many docs say "relax" to couples). No excuse.
3) Joe Walsh "mother's life is at risk"- I'm largely prochoice, but this is a wide vague exception since all pregnancies put mom at risk. We clearly need this exception but understand concerns of those against.
Where's your list of Dems that need to go?

When it come to reproductive rights, the Republican platform doesn't stop at fetal personhood. It also includes a shout-out to other efforts limiting women's abortion access around the country, according to CNN:
Republicans have also inserted a "salute" to states pushing "informed consent" laws—an apparent reference to ultrasound bills that have moved through some state legislatures—"mandatory waiting periods prior to an abortion, and health-protective clinic regulation."
