Moms Talk: Where's The Best Place To Battle Cabin Fever?
Let us know the area's best-kept winter secrets.
Moms Talk on Avon Lake Patch is part of a new initiative on our Patch sites to reach out to parents and families.
Each week in Moms Talk, our Moms Council of experts and smart moms take your questions, give advice and share solutions.
Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community are all welcome to weigh in and use the discussion forum as a resource. Feel free to suggest questions you'd like to see discussed as well.
This week, our discussion turns to cabin fever. Participate in the discussion by telling us your thoughts in the comment section on this week's question:
What are the best local places to take your kids in the winter? The library? The Cleveland Zoo? The movies? Let other parents know where you go when the cabin fever sets in.

Bumper Bowling, especially on cosmic nights. We like Fairview Lanes, which often has great family friendly events.
Discovery Works - Avon Lake has the best library around for kids!
The bargain movies at AMC theaters Westwood Town Center, especially on free popcorn nights.

Thanks Jessica. I spent an afternoon at the zoo last weekend and was surprised how busy it was...with kids... in the middle of winter. Plenty of animals out and about.

We tend to head to the French Creek Nature Center in Sheffield Village or the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center in Bay Village. There are always neat displays for the children to explore and you never know what the animals will do for you!
