New Superintendent Expected to be Picked Next Week
Avon Local Schools Down to Three Finalists
Avon Local Schools is expected to pick a new superintendent next week to replace Jim Reitenbach who announced in December that he’ll vacate the position at the end of his latest three-year term in July.
Reitenbach, who has been the district’s superintendent for the last 13 years, said at Tuesday’s board of education meeting at Heritage North Elementary School that the district has narrowed its list to three finalists.
One candidate was interviewed on Monday and the other two will be interviewed this week before next week’s selection, Reitenbach said. Reitenbach said each of the finalists will receive two interviews.
