Rosie F. Stuebner, Longtime Avon Lake Resident

Rosie F. Stuebner, (nee Bell), of Avon Lake for 46 years and formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home. She was 87.
Mrs. Stuebner was born on Oct. 29, 1924 and raised in Marion. She attended and graduated from Marion Harding High School. She worked as a childcare provider at the Avon Lake Children's Center.
Mrs. Stuebner enjoyed many things but and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ and cherished the fellowship that she found there. She loved baking cookies, sewing, children, and the many activities provided for her at Avon Oaks.
She is survived by her children; Bruce (Martine) of Fairfax, VA; Bill (Renata) of Alexandria, VA; Lynne Halasz (Steve) of North Ridgeville; Tim (Laury) of Avon Lake; and Tom (Dorothy) of San Francisco, CA. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and her sister Priscilla Baer of Marion, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Herbert, who died in 2005; her parents, Alexander and Pearl (nee Birchem) Bell; a sister, Floretta Pollock and two brothers, Harold and Glenn Bell.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15. A memorial service will be held at the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, 44012, at 11:00AM on Thursday, Feb. 16. The Reverend Kelly Brill will officiate.
Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested in Rosie's name to the Activities Department of the Avon Oaks Nursing Home, 37800 French Creek Road, Avon OH 44011.
