The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning through 8:30 p.m. for Lorain County.

A line of storms is moving eastbound from the Sandusky area. Boaters in the Sandusky/Island area are reporting a strong hail storm, causing damage, moved through the area about 7 p.m.

At 7:07 p.m. the  National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and
destructive winds in excess of 75 mph.

This storm was located 18 miles west of Wellington and moving east at 45 mph
