Snapshot: Crane Cleans Up Crashed Light Pole
The pole came down on Dec. 16, and the city has identified three more towers to be replaced.
An 80-ton crane was doing the dirty work Wednesday at All Pro Freight Stadium as workers cleaned up a light tower that fell down on Dec. 16.
The city has since identified three additional poles that need to be replaced, and is exploring its legal options in terms of seeking financial reimbursement from either the manufacturer or installer of the stadium's eight light poles, Avon Services Director Jerry Plas said.
The stadium, home to the minor league baseball team the Lake Erie Crushers, opened in 2009, and is owned by the city.
