We're in a gorgeous stretch of May-like weather. In the middle of March.
Wednesday's forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 72 degrees. And this weather's not going away any time soon. It's going to be in the mid-60s to low 70s into early next week. Both Saturday and Sunday will be sunny, to boot.
Today, let's talk about shedding the winter coats and getting outside.

This weather is great, but honestly, it's been nice ALL winter. It was 55 degrees on Christmas day and we went for a walk. So really, people should have been out all season. We've been grilling food at least a few times a week all season.
I take my son for a long walk almost every day. It was over 65 degrees on Leap Day and we went to the park. So yes, is this "stretch" nice, of course, but many have been enjoying the weather for months (except those who like to ski ;-)
I think I wore my "winter" coat a handful of times. It was nice enough to go out with a sweater and light jacket most days. We only had to shovel the driveway 2 times. Those winter boats I was worried about buying for my son...he wore for a total of 10 minutes.
What I am most looking forward to this spring is my husband's LAST season coaching high school baseball!!!! He's been coaching for 24 years and we've never really been able to "enjoy" the spring, i.e. travel for spring break, hang outside during the week, etc. So next year "spring" will take on a whole new meaning in our house and we are going someplace even warmer for a week!

As I am typing our swing set is being built in our backyard! This spring and summer we will most likely be in our backyard! The kids are super excited for this swing set, as are my husband and I too!
I miss the extra hour we just lost! With a newborn I needed the hour the most! This weather is amazing and I hope it continues! We escaped with such a mellow winter, I hope the spring stays calm too!
The kids received new bikes for Christmas that they can finally break out too! We are looking forward to our Spring Break vacation to visit the Mouse and the Little League season too! It looks like we will be spending most days outside, hopefully in sunshine!
