Teens Sent Home After Being Caught Parked at ShurTech
Security called police, parents notified
A teenaged couple picked the wrong parking lot to pull into.
Security at ShurTech in the 32100 block of Just Imagine Drive called Avon police on Jan. 23 after seeing the small white sedan parked at the company.
The girl was brought home by police, after her grandmother told police the girl did not have permission to be out with the boy. The boy was told to have his parents call police to discuss the matter.
Any relation to the Hall of Justice?
A man from Florida called Avon police on Jan. 24 to let them know he had just gotten a phone call from someone claiming to be from the "Avon, Ohio, Department of Justice." The caller was soliciting a donation, the man said, and Caller ID gave a number with a 440 area code. Police are looking into it.
Neither snow nor rain nor hit-skip...
A mail truck was rear-ended around 2:04 p.m. on Jan. 24 and a witness reported the driver of the car, a white sedan, and took off.
The incident happened in the 37200 block of Chester Road. The witness said the car hit the back of the mail truck and took off. He said the driver was an "older" woman and that there appeared to be a lot of damage to the right front side of the car.
Police found the car parked at Northern Ohio Arthritis Center on American Way. It had to be towed. No word on any charges for the driver.
