I am assuming the tickets are free and they can't even give them away. Who in there right mind would waste there time wanting to see him? I guess if you enjoy working hard so others don't have to, you would probably want to support him.

regardless of whether or not you support his politics, it's exciting or at least interesting to see the president in person. I would have gone to see former president Bush speak while he was president and I feel about him how you feel about Obama. It's a privilege to be able to see any president speak.

Looks like you're wrong...the line in front of the MAC is HUGE. NO matter what your voting preference is, he is STILL the President of the United States of America and what a GREAT opportunity it would be to see him! Keep your negativity to yourself.

According to people employed on campus, the line for the tickets was long prior to 8 this morning...so I guess they can, in fact, "give them away"!

That's not true I'm sure that don't have enough tickets to go around for everyone that would love to see him HE'S THE BEST PRESIDENT WE HAVE EVER HAD AND EVER WILL. If you know anything about a person's spirit which is what makes up who you are then you could see that president Obama carries within in him the spirit anyone would want to run a country a unselfish man is exactly what we need in office and now since he has been president everyone is trying to dod the copy cat thing an be just like him and his wife we never had a woman speak in honor of their husband as president and now that Michelle has done it everyone is trying to do it Barack Obama did and is doing exactly what he promised to do.

The line was down two blocks and then down another block and around another corner. The average wait in Kent was 2 hours. They ran out of tickets by 11. The line at KSU was longer! They expect over 7,000 on Wed, so I guess some people want to see him. I worked hard all my life (since I was 14) and paid my taxes so I could help those who need help.

Mattew M, I'm in total agreement with you..however, you mis-spelled the pronoun form of "their"...please get that stuff right...
i don't care that he is the president of The United States of America (THEE greatest nation on this earth), he is an evil man who should never have been elected to that extremely important & honored role. I hope the majority of American citizens/voters see the error of this action 4 yrs. ago & do NOT repeat it. God help us if he is re-elected...take a chance, read "The Amateur"...OPEN YOUR MIND, EYES & EARS!

I really don't think he is evil, I just think he is misguided. He had the unfortunate luck of being influenced his entire life by many others who have no great love for the American form of government. No other country in the history of the civilized world has ever offered the liberty and opportunities guaranteed by our constitution and bill of rights. People come to our nation from every country in the world to participate in these freedoms.

Sadly, our president's philosophy/ideology would diminish this which distinguishes us from all other nations. The left seems hell bent on supporting that diminishment. I really don't understand this mind set.

The recent turmoil in the middle east is somewhat frightening. Our state department has failed us miserably. Obama's 'Good Will' tour of the middle east when he was newly in office did not do a thing to change the tone or the hate. They will never 'love' us...and unfortunately the only safety for us is that they respect us and to achieve that, we must be feared.

Just some info about Edward Klein, author of "The Amateur":
Klein is no stranger to criticism. The uproar over his 2005 book about Clinton, “The Truth About Hillary,” rang out from all quarters. One of the most talked-about suggestions in the book was that Bill Clinton raped Hillary, an act that led to the birth of their daughter, Chelsea. Klein never states outright that a rape occurred, but he fashions a scene, based on what he claims are two anonymous sources, that leaves an impression of violence and sex.

The scene begins with a drunk Bill telling friends, “I’m going back to my cottage to rape my wife.” The book was so inflammatory — it also suggestively painted an environment of lesbianism around Hillary — that some of Klein’s conservative allies parted ways with him. Political strategist Dick Morris, no friend of Hillary’s, wrote in the Hill in 2005, “These accusations do not belong in our public dialogue.” Morris declined to comment on Klein’s latest publication."

As in his previous books, his literary style in this one leans more toward the rhetorical than analytical. “The Amateur” repeats long-standing conservative opinions about Obama — that he is a Muslim, a closet socialist and riddled with delusions of grandeur.
“Ed Klein has a proven history of reckless fabrication in order to sell books,” said White House spokesman Eric Schultz. “Nobody in their right mind would believe the nonsense in this one.”

In 2008 while the Fed was informing our great leaders from both parties about the impending bank meltdown these fools that everyone want to defend we're adjusting their portfolios in order to profit from it. All the while, our unsuspecting 401k's lay on the chopping block. We would been sent to prison for insider trading. I find it difficult to drink either parties kool-aid.

No, not his grandfather Dunham. Frank Marshall Davis was a mentor in Hawaii, introduced to Obama by his grandfather, 1970. Davis was a member of the Communist party during WWII, look up his bio. Then we have Rev. Jeremiah Wright who was his pastor for 20 years in Chicago, famous for his anti-semitism and 'God Damn America'. Then of course, we have Bill Ayers, a neighbor, who gave the first political 'cocktail' party in his home for the aspiring Illinois Senator Obama. These fellows and their relationships with Obama are facts. Read up on Bill! LOL!

Why are you so worried about spelling? People aren't trying to write an academic essay. They are just trying to say how they feel about our President. Maybe if everyone would quit nitpicking and work together, much more would have been accomplished in the last four years.

Although I won't vote for him again, after his acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize he didn't earn (cheating those who did, say, work in Calcutta slums for 20 years fighting hepatitis and such) and forcing the health care "reform" on states who don't want it, and belonging to a racist black Chicago church.... among other offensive, anti-American things ... I do want to see this smooth talker in person. The media can't portray the truth effectively, some things you have to experience.

Funny how people worship this man like he is the second coming of MLK jr, when he uses words like Hope, Change, and Move somewhere??? It's not about whether you are red or blue. I don't agree with most of the views that either party try's to platform as. And the key word there is "try's". Most of them are hypocrites deep down. But, Once some one starts to take away my civil liberties. I light up. Until we vote somebody in who will run this gov't like the business it is (Perot), I am forced to side with the red because they think towards the future and not like a NFL rookie throwing around money and then who will be broke and unemployed in 5 years. sounds quite similar to our last 3.5 years. I don't want a quick fix with massive ramifications 5 years later. I want a growth plan that puts Americans to work for decades to come. If you want to have a society where everyone is equal like he truly wants, Move to Russia and see how that is going for them. For the rest of us with 1/2 a brain. Please don't re-elect this man. Learn from the mistakes we made by re-electing Bush jr. See how that went. This guy had 4 years w/o any results to speak of that will help us in the long run. Let's start over fresh and try again.

You know, guys, this is silly. This bickering will get us nowhere. We just need to respect the opinions and political beliefs of our neighbors, even if we disagree with them so much that it makes us sick. All we can do is let the nation decide. We have the great and unique privilege to choose our leaders. It's our vote, our choice, and that's why I love my country. May the best man win the job! God bless America!

The fact is, anyone who supports Obama hates America. The liberals who do, have no logic or facts to support there arguments, they only have hate and bias toward the liberal media. The liberal media says we have to Love Obama, but what about working hard and proud of USA?

I guess it is childish to be concerned for this nation and its people? It was childish when we had all the disputes when the constitution was authored and agreed upon? This nation is worth caring about and expressing our concerns in spite of our disagreements. At least we are free to do so, whereas in some present forms of government across this world this is not allowed. Bod Bless America!

Anthony Fossaceca will bring thoughtful, informed voice to Statehouse for Ohio House District 17: Letter to the Editor

Published: Sunday, September 23, 2012, 6:36 PM

By Sun News Readers

Nov. 6 is a very important election for many reasons, however I would like to take this opportunity to explain one of the most important votes we cast is the one for our State of Ohio Representative.

Before you vote, please take into consideration that the incumbent voted on bills that effectively increased our local taxes. For example her “yes” vote to reduce school funding 20 percent across the board stuck local taxpayers with the bill when in the March 2012 election we had to vote an increase in our school taxes.

Another example is her “yes” vote on the budget bill that reduced the Local Government Fund for every community in Ohio. The direct result of that vote in Chagrin Falls is that Village Council is asking voters for more taxes on Nov. 6 so among other things they can fill potholes in the roads.

So you see, it very much matters who our representative is in the Statehouse, and it is a clear example of why all politics are local. The votes of the incumbent have directly affected all taxpayer’s in the district, and not for the better. It is very disheartening to have a state representative vote against the best interests of the people she directly represents.

Her voting record along party lines indicates that she is a mostly a cookie-cutter representative who seems more comfortable shaking hands and handing out award certificates than she is in fighting for her district. I believe that these issues make a strong case for her to not be re-elected.

Early by-mail voting is underway and begins in earnest Oct. 1. Whether you vote by mail or at the polls, please look down the ballot and watch for the name Anthony Fossaceca.

Foss will bring a fresh, thoughtful and informed voice to the Statehouse. As a small business owner and dad, Foss is highly focused on small business and education. He offers an in-depth storehouse of creative and common sense approaches to many issues. His handshake is firm and with a strong work ethic in place is well prepared to be an outstanding state representative for our district.

Our district deserves better and deserves to have Anthony Fossaceca represent us in Columbus. Please vote for Foss Nov. 6!
