Victoria Shelton from Avon Lake, Ohio, has been placed at Holy Ghost School in Omaha, Neb., through Creighton University's Magis Catholic Teacher Corps, for the 2011-12 school year.

This year, as Magis Corps celebrates its 10th year at Creighton, the program will send 27 teachers to serve at schools in five dioceses across Nebraska and South Dakota.

Magis Catholic Teacher Corps is a two-year graduate program centered on community living, academic coursework and Ignatian Spirituality that prepares and supports highly motivated, faith-filled teachers to serve in under-resourced Catholic schools.

During these two years, teachers live together in intentional Christian community as they pursue educational, professional, and spiritual development.
