Someone around here really likes milkshakes.

After a quiet two days of voting for Avon's favorite spot for a milkshake, with Whistler's and Dairy Treat almost tied, something interesting happened Friday afternoon.

More than 500 votes in less than five hours is what happened.

With nowhere near that many page views, it was, to borrow from C&C Music Factory, a thing that that makes you go "Hmmmmm."

As the rules attached with Readers' Choice stories state, "robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar voting methods" aren't allowed. And, as this week shows, we do keep an eye out for these things.
