I love dining out (a side effect of being a horrible cook). But although I’ve lived in Avon Lake for almost four years, I hadn't really explored our local restaurants until recently.
The blame rests entirely with me. I was too impatient to wait until I got home to grab a bite to eat, often overlooking restaurants in my own backyard.
Then a trip to Avon's Strip Steakhouse motivated me to start looking at that backyard a bit more.
And my curiosity has been rewarded with dining in Avon and Avon Lake that’s perfect for any budget like Cafe Melissa and Two Bucks Food and Spirit.

You have to try Aroma, Mario is the owner and chief and it has to be some of the best Italian food in Cleveland. Mario is originally from Italy. Take it from someone who grew up on the East Side in an Italian neighborhood and is half Sicilian. You won't go wrong

It's not in Avon/Avon Lake (but so close).....you have to try Fiesta Jalapenos in North Ridgeville (intersection of Jaycox and Center Ridge). Best place around!
