Ways You Can Help the West Side Market Recovery

In the early morning hours of January 30, a fire damaged and has temporarily closed one of Cleveland's treasures, the 100-year-old West Side Market. 

And while the city of Cleveland will pay for the clean up out of capital funds previously identified for Market upgrades, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done and business lost for the vendors.

However, just like in the past, Cleveland has proven itself a resilient city - ready to rally when needed.

For instance, Gordon Square's Happy Dog donated $1 from every hot dog sold this weekend to the Market's recovery. In 2 days, they raised over $1,200 for the vendors and employees (that's a lot of hot dogs!).
