Preschool Info Night Oct. 8

With so many preschool options available, many parents can be overwhelmed with the process of choosing a preschool for their child. The Avon Early Childhood PTA (AECPTA) is helping parents simplify their search by offering a Preschool Information Night on Oct. 8 immediately following the club’s General Meeting which begins at 7 p.m. at Avon Heritage North Elementary School (35575 Detroit Road).

More than 10 preschools from Avon, Avon Lake, Westlake and other surrounding communities will be in attendance. Confirmed schools attending include: Bay Presbyterian (Bay Village), Christ Lutheran (Avon Lake), Faith Lutheran (Avon), Fit by Five (Westlake), Goddard School (Avon), Holy Trinity (Avon), Jack-n-Jill (Avon Lake), Kiddie Kollege (Avon), Montessori Children's School (Westlake), Pembroke Kids (Avon Lake), and Soaring Eagles (Avon).

Preschool Information Night is for parents of children not yet enrolled in preschool and/or those interested in changing their current school. The event is open to public.

“This event is great for parents of children who will be starting preschool soon, looking to switch preschools, or parents that want to get a head start on the preschool search,” said Becky House, AECPTA vice president of programming. “It is so convenient to ask questions and get information from a dozen preschools in one informal setting. Attendees can expect to find one or two representatives from each preschool with materials ranging from pamphlets and poster boards, to videos and PowerPoints. We want all parents to have access to this valuable information in one convenient location.”

In addition to Preschool Information Night, Avon Local Schools Superintendent Mike Laub will be the featured speaker at the meeting which begins at 7 p.m. AECPTA meetings are open to the public.
