Seasonable weather allows for some perfect opportunities to see one of Avon Lake's gems.

Love nature? has several ways to tour the Kopf Reservation, right behind the library.  

Tram Rides

Enjoy a late summer tram ride through on Friday, Sept 7. Rides begin at 1 p.m. and run every half hour. Seating is limited to seven persons per trip. Register at the Circulation desk or by calling 440-933-8128 x221.

 Woodland Walks

Join a Lorain County Metro Park naturalist on a walk through Kopf Family Reservation each Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. Meet at the Avon Lake Public Library parking lot trail head.

FriendsFest

Are you a Friend?  Be a good Friend and celebrate with the Friends of Avon Lake Public Library at their annual FriendsFest on Saturday, Aug. 25 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Enjoy the used book sale, steel drum entertainment, bounce house, hot dogs, popcorn and more. Friends of the Library provide financial support for Library programs for all ages.

There are many people who would love to walk the Reservation but avoid it because there are no restroom facilities! This issue needs to be addressed.

You know Terry, that is definitely a topic that needs revisiting. Not sure anything will come of it, but I'll try to have an update next week.
