It Does not appear that the auditor knows the house sits on 20 acres, that it has a basement, or that small in law suite in the back that is actually worth more than the house is listed for. The owner should be aware that she qualifies for an additional 2.5% rollback reduction in her taxes because she lives in the house, but I'm not sure I would ask the auditor about it. Of course this is "according to the auditor" so I have as much faith in their record keeping as I do in the realtor that will cash in on the sale of this place.
