Lori - the title of your story should be:
"What Does $1.5 Million Get You in Avon? - Busted" according to the County Auditor - the house and property is valued at $329,000 and the annual taxes are $6,452.68. It Does not appear that the auditor knows the house sits on 20 acres, that it has a basement, or that small in law suite in the back that is actually worth more than the house is listed for. The owner should be aware that she qualifies for an additional 2.5% rollback reduction in her taxes because she lives in the house, but I'm not sure I would ask the auditor about it. Of course this is "according to the auditor" so I have as much faith in their record keeping as I do in the realtor that will cash in on the sale of this place. I just woke up and already I feel like someone should go to jail today for something. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a jury duty notice.

Thanks John. I am checking, but this owner has two parcels equaling just about 20 acres. It appears--but needs to be verified--that this sale is for both lots. Having said that, very observant of you! Check back later in the week.
