Big Trucks Coming to Avon Lake Sept. 21

It is time again for one of Avon Lake’s most popular events – Big Trucks.  

The annual event will be held this year on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Avon Lake Safety Center (police and fire departments) on Walker Road. 

The premise for this program is quite simple – Big Trucks allows residents to come out and see the biggest vehicles that serve the city.  

That includes fire trucks, dump trucks, school buses, military vehicles, and medical helicopters.  

Beyond the trucks themselves, there are dozens of service providers on site that readily give information and demonstrations. There is even a ‘Passport’ program that not only helps visitors see and do all that this program has to offer, but it also allows them to enter a drawing for an actual ride on a big truck. 

The event will feature plenty of food, most of which is complimentary. 

Parking and shuttle service is available across the street at Town Center.
