  4. One of the finest cultural events in Northeast Ohio -- the Tri-C Jazz Fest -- gets underway this week. Events get underway April 27 with a community preview show, and there's a Mardi Gras parade April 28 at Tower City Center. Performers this year include Smokey Robinson, Ray Parker Jr., Dave Koz and the Dave Sterner Quintet. Events run through May 8.
  5. Get out and enjoy the beauty of spring with a in Wakeman at 10 a.m. April 30. Hikers will have the opportunity to see a vast array of beautiful spring wildflowers and a variety of birds.
