Get Out: A Musical, Pancakes, Bunnies and a Tag Sale

It’s Thursday, and you have no idea what to do this weekend. Don't worry; Patch is coming to your rescue! Check our picks for the activities that aren't too far from home.

Where/When: Avon Lake High School Commons/Sunday, April 17, 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Why Go: For the all-you-can-eat pancakes, with a side of sausage. This is a great social event to meet other Avon Lakers and make your stomach happy at the same time. After, go over to the Easter Egg Hunt:

Where/When: Avon Lake High School Competition Gym/Sunday, April 17, 2 p.m.

Why Go: Bring the kids for pictures, eggs, and other goodies. Relay for Life teams will have fundraisers for kids including games, food and fun.  Pictures begin at 2 p.m. Pictures are $10 if we take and print your picture, $5 if you take your own picture and print at home. Easter Egg hunt begins promptly at 3 p.m. Pictures will also be available after the egg hunt.

Where/When: Avon Lake Performing Arts Center/Thursday – Sunday, April 14-17

Why Go: Everyone knows Avon Lake’s music programs are stellar. Expect to hear some awesome talent from the Avon Lake High School Drama Club at its spring production. We went to the dress rehearsals. It’s a fun show.

Why go: Healthy Kids Day is part of the YMCA’s national initiative to improve the health and well being of families across the country. The day, which earned a resolution from Avon Lake City Council, is designed to promote activity for children.

Where/when: /Saturday, April 16, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Why Go: Spring is here, and with it comes tag sales and garage sales. This sale promises something for everyone including furniture, kitchen items, toys, clothes, books, electronics, exercise equipment, etc.  The last hour everything is half-price.
