July 10 Miller Road Park Concert Features 17-Piece Swingtime Band

Tonight's Sunday performance at Miller Road Park is free

The Avon Lake Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Concert Series continues Sunday, July 10 with the Swingtime Band.

Band leader Bob Shampay said the 17-piece band plays more than big band music.

"We also play Frank sinatra, James Brown, Motown, oldies rock, and rythym and blues," he said.

The summer concerts are held Sunday through Aug.  21 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Miller Road Park, 33760 Lake Rd. Concerts are performed in the lakefront gazebo. Enjoy a sunset view during the concert. Please bring a blanket or chair.
