Merples Will Pay Tribute to Sandy Hook Victims
Will dedicate Angels From the Realms of Glory
The Merples, select members of Avon Lake High School Choir, will be dedicating Angels From the Realms of Glory at tonight’s choir Holiday Concert. The 20 Merples will sing along with hosting a display with the names of the students killed Dec. 14 at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.
The Dec. 20 concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Avon Lake Performing Arts Center will feature all five of Avon Lake High School’s chorale program’s choirs: Chorale, Da Cantari Choir, Merples and the Freshmen Boys and Freshmen Girls Chorale (formerly Musika Nova).
Cost is $5 for adults; students are free.
