Atmosphere Adventures With Meteorologist Jon Loufman

Have you ever wondered how tornadoes form, what makes the wind blow or why we can’t feel the 300 or so pounds of air pressing down on the outstretched palms of our hands? You can discover the answers to these and all of your weather questions when you embark on an Atmosphere Adventure with meteorologist, Jon Loufman. Take part in hands-on, interactive weather experiments and sky-high fun for weather enthusiasts of all ages.  Atmosphere Adventures will be held, Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Library. Preregistration is required by calling the Avon Branch Library at 440-934-4743.

Avon Branch Library Closed to Public Oct. 10

Recycled Bag Crochet Craft

 Recycle all your old blue plastic bags into a crochet purse in a two-part Recycled Bag Crochet Craft class for 10 year olds through adults. The class will meet, Saturdays, Oct. 13 and Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Library. Start saving your bags now because lots are needed. Call the Library for more information on other supplies required. Afternoon Book Discussion Group

Adults are invited to join the Afternoon Book Discussion Group when it meets, Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 2:30 p.m. at the Avon Branch Library. The group will discuss, Dean's List by Jon Hassler. Teen Extreme Pumpkin Carving program

Teens, get extreme this Halloween. Join local artist, Paul Koerner, who will demonstrate how to create your own spook-tacular jack-o-lantern. Come to the Teen Extreme Pumpkin Carving program, Thursday, October 25 at 7 p.m. at the Library. Bring your own pumpkin and kitchen paring knife to carve. Preregistration is required by calling the Avon Branch Library at 440-934-4743.
