Sister From ‘The Blind Side’ Will Speak at Westlake High School

Collins Tuohy will sign "Family Strong: Never Lose Faith" after forum.

Collins Tuohy is the sister of Baltimore Ravens' offensive tackle Michael Oher whose story inspired the hit movie, The Blind Side, will speak at Westlake High School on Friday, Oct. 18.

The event, Family Strong: Never Lose Faith, is organized by Westside Christian Academy. It is open to the public and organizers are expecting to draw from Cleveland's greater west side. 

Tuohy will talk about overcoming obstacles in the face of adversity drawn from their childhood experiences in this remarkable family at 7 p.m. at the high school’s Performing Arts Center.

She was portrayed by Lily Collins in the movie. She went on to become a cheerleader at Ole Miss.

Collins will sign her family’s book, In a Heart Beat, after her presentation.

A time of worship will be led by the contemporary Christian band, 220b.

The event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required but seating is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Donations can be made to support Westside Christian Academy.

The Performing Arts Center in Westlake High School is located at 27830 Hilliard Blvd, Westlake.
