To the Beach! Columbia Park
Relatively unknown to Lorain County residents, this small beach makes for a quick getaway. Bring your camera.
Barely visible from Lake Road at the Columbia Road intersection, this 1.6-acre park is nice little getaway for a brief summer respite.
Perhaps the parks most unique feature is a 40-foot tall shale bluff that cascades down into a pool before the water heads-–across the beach--into Lake Erie.
Columbia Park features an observation deck and concrete platform, the latter which is surrounded by a safety chain-link fence.

Getting to beach requires taking a somewhat steep set of concrete steps. As result, the beach is not accessible for wheelchairs. Near the beach is a second observation deck.
Parking is available on the south side of Lake Road in a small lot on the southwest corner. There is a traffic light at the corner.
