Weather Doesn't Stop Avon Lake From Going to the Dogs (Photo Gallery)

More than 50 dogs and their owners turn out for Bark for Life.

Despite a day that would be more fitting for November than mid-May, dozens of dogs and nearly 100 owners turned out to take a walk May 15, albeit wet one, in Kopf Reservation to support the 2011 Relay for Life and Love-A-Stray. One mile and 2.5 mile routes were available.

The partnership resulted in what is expected to be the first annual "Bark for Life" walk through Kopf Reservation, Avon Lake's own Metro Park.

Avon Lake Patch captured dogs and dog lovers, and a few lovable canines in need of a good home with our camera. Take a look through our slide show and meet the dogs and owners. See a photo you like? Share this link with friends and help support the American Cancer Society and Love-A-Stray.
