“Jingle Bell Jam” with Miss Misty
It won’t be a “silent night” when you jingle your way through the Library to sing along with Miss Misty and her guitar. Babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their big people are invited on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. to shake their mistletoe and shout with glee.

Trustee Vacancy
The Avon Lake Public Library Board of Trustees seeks a dedicated member of the community to serve out the last five years of a 7-year term, 2013 through Dec. 2017. Interested persons are invited to fill out an application form, which may be obtained at the Circulation desk or from the Library’s website, alpl.org. Completed applications should be returned to the Library no later than Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.

The Board of Library Trustees meets at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month; in addition, there may be occasional committee work. A genuine interest in the Library and a willingness to devote the necessary time are important factors in selection. The Library Board’s next meeting is Thursday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Lakeshore Room.
