PAYING FOR YOUR CHILD’S COLLEGE EDUCATION

 Learn how to fund your child’s college education at the Lorain Public Library System’s Avon Branch Library on Tuesday, Jan.  15 at 7 p.m. Discover what different savings vehicles are available during this hour-long program. Learn how to build flexibility into your savings plan in case the unexpected happens. Gain knowledge on what other options exist besides paying your child’s way through college. ZENTANGLE

Discover a fascinating new art form called Zentangle at the Avon Branch Library. Zentangle is an easy-to-learn method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. A certified Zentangle teacher will lead the way through this fun and relaxing program on Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Zentangle increases focus, creativity, and sense of well-being. No previous art or drawing experience is needed. Preregistration is required by calling the Avon Branch Library at 440-934-4743.

 FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT

 It’s movie night at the Avon Branch Library. Families with children of all ages are invited. The movie starts at 6 p.m. on Jan. 24. Bring a blanket to sit on if you like, and we’ll provide the popcorn. Preregistration is required by calling the Avon Branch Library at 440-934-4743.

 FIT IN AVON DAY

 Get cracking on your New Year’s Resolution to stay fit. Saturday, Jan.  26 is Fit in Avon Day at the Avon Branch Library. Work up a sweat in free fitness classes throughout the day. Check out the Library’s selection of fitness books and DVDs.
