How Much Would the 12 Days of Christmas Cost Today?

It'll take more than $100,000 to buy gifts for your true love this year.

The cost of the 12 Days of Christmas in the classic holiday song is $24,263 this year, up a modest $823 from last year, according to  Wealth Management.

Blame some of the increase on those seven swans a-swimming -- their price tag jumped from $5,600 in 2010 to $6,300 this year.

PNC puts out the whimsical Christmas Price Index® every year, tallying the cost of all the items in The 12 Days of Christmas.

Now, if someone wanted to buy his or her True Love all 364 gifts on the list -- all 12 Drummers Drumming, three French Hens and the rest -- it would cost a whopping $101,120, a 4.4 percent increase from last year.

As the only unskilled laborers, the cost of hiring eight Maids-a-Milking, represented with a $7.25-an-hour minimum wage, did not go up.

Each gold ring went down slightly in price, now standing at $645.

Costliest items are the nine Ladies Dancing at $6,294, followed 10 Lords A-Leaping, which are priced at $4,766 each.

Biggest price jump is for Turtle Doves, which went from $100 to $125. Partridges are now $15 and the cost of the pear tree rose $20 to $170. Calling Birds are less expensive this year, dropping from $600 to $520.

There were small increases in the cost of Drummers Drumming (now $2,629) and Pipers Piping ($2,427).
