Pin Oak Kids' Businesses Banding Together for Open Houses

Pin Oak Parkway open houses will let students, parents visit locations on one night.

Four local Pin Oak Parkway active kids businesses are banding together and holding a joint open house on Wednesday, April 25, to give parents and children the opportunity to visit these four facilities in one evening.

Representatives from , and met recently to plan to open houses which include the opportunity for visitors to win a Attend the open house and you will have a chance to win a $200 gift certificate to Kalahari Water Park Resort in Sandusky.

“Four of us are getting together to let area residents know that Pin Oak Parkway is a happening spot for children,” Kristin Perry, head of Miss Kristen’s Dance Studio said. “People can meet and talk with owners and instructors.”

The concept is the brainchild of president Joe Archacki, who frequently organizes small business seminars to promote local businesses.

The open houses, which will run from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., will give prospective students and parents the chance to meet the teachers, instructors and tour the facilities, all located on Pin Oak Parkway in the southern part of Avon Lake. No appointment or RSVP is needed.

Steve Caris, co-owner of Pembroke Child Development Center said the business owners have met three to four times to plan to the open houses.

“We were looking for ways to cross-promote,” Caris said. “All the businesses focus on kids.”

Caris said the city has been providing support to all the businesses on Pin Oak Parkway.

“The city has helped all the Pin Oak businesses organize quarterly open houses,” Caris said. “This came out of conversations and contacts from those open houses. Now that we’ve been introduced, we’re all working toward the same results.

“We’re a small community; we should know everybody,” Caris said.
